西亚试剂：Spotlight on China 2015

The 2015 Spotlight on China is a supplement to the Cell Press family of journals and focuses on the cutting-edge plant science being done in China to ensure food security in this changing world. Salt tolerance, crop productivity, and crop adaptation to toxic environments are all hurdles faced by farmers that can have huge impacts on yield and food safety. China, with the largest population of any other country and living off of 10% of the world’s arable land, has become a world leader in agricultural research—both in basic biological research and in applied agriculture. The series of essays that follows highlights some of the diverse investments being made by the Chinese government to combat some of the biggest threats to its ability to feed the country’s population.
